Putnam Public Service District

Current Projects

Putnam Public Service District is constantly upgrading and expanding our infrastructure in order to extend service to more areas of the county and to enhance the quality of service for our existing customers. Here are some of our ongoing projects:

  • Construction of a new maintenance facility at our Great Teays garage facility: This new structure will enhance our ability to conduct routine system upkeep and construction and to respond rapidly and effectively in times of emergency.
  • Teays Hollow/Great Teays Sewer Project: We will soon begin work on providing new sewer service to 35 customers in the Teays Hollow road, upgrading our sewer force main in the Great Teays/Mt. Vernon area, and adding a second sewer main line near the Hurricane Reservoir. In doing so, this project will improve the quality of the raw water that feeds the Hurricane municipal water system.
  • Vintroux Hollow Water and Sewer Project: The Vintroux project will upgrade the areas water service and provide 60 customers with new sewer service.
  • Putnam PSD Wastewater Treatment Plant upgrade & renovation: Thanks to $1.3 million dollars in funding from the Army Corps of Engineers, our Hometown plant will receive needed maintenance and repairs to better help serve our existing sewer customers in Bancroft, Hometown, and Red House.
