About Putnam PSD

Putnam Public Service District is a public, non-profit water and wastewater utility serving 13,000 customers in Putnam County, West Virginia. We are the largest combined water and sewer public service district in West Virginia and have been serving our community since 1959. As a public service district, Putnam PSD is a political subdivision of the State of West Virginia.


Putnam PSD's business office is located at 74 Scott Depot Road in Scott Depot, West Virginia. To get here, take the Teays Valley Exit (Exit 39) of I-64. Follow the signs toward Scott Depot. Travel straight through the stoplight at the intersection of WV 34 and Great Teays Blvd. At the next light (near Rite Aid and 5th/3rd Bank), turn left onto Poplar Fork Road (aka Scott Depot Road). At the four-way stop, keep going straight. On your right you will notice the Teays Valley Fire Department. We are the building next to the fire department (look for our logo).

Putnam PSD's Board of Commissioners is composed of three residents of our service area appointed to serve six-year terms by the Putnam County Commission. Meetings are regularly scheduled for the second and fourth Thursday of each month, unless otherwise posted, at 9 AM in the PPSD Board Room located in our business office at 107 Poplar Fork Road in Scott Depot, WV.
